Your starting points: knowing the triggers and a safe place to go.
This week: one small change, chosen from your own answers, with the lesson and printable that go with it.
In overload, the part of your child's brain that handles language, reasoning and self-control is effectively offline. That's why talking, bargaining and consequences don't land: there's nobody available to receive them. What does reach them is your nervous system. A calm, quiet adult close by is the signal their body needs to start coming down.
Boundaries still matter. Some behaviour is a child who could stop and is choosing not to, and that needs a calm, firm boundary. The skill is telling the two apart in the moment, and the programme starts there.
Before you respond, ask yourself whether this is won't or can't. If you're not sure, treat it as can't. Treating a can't as a won't adds load to a nervous system that's already full. Treating a won't as a can't means a little extra kindness, which rarely does any harm.
Free to use tonight. It's one idea from the programme.
Co-regulation sounds abstract until you see it as a sequence. The programme walks through each step and why it works. Here's the shape of it.
Five seconds. Shoulders down, slower breath, unclench your jaw. Your child reads your body before your words.
Being near says safe. Volume says threat. Close the distance and lower your voice.
"I'm here." "You're safe." Or nothing. Words are extra load on a brain that's already full.
Uninvited touch adds to the overload. Open your arms and let them come to you.
The last three steps are waiting it out, reconnecting gently, and talking it through hours later. The programme covers each one, including what to do with yourself while you wait.
Part of the programme is practical: designing a regulation space at home. A corner, a tent, a beanbag behind a curtain. Somewhere soft and dim with one comfort item, that your child can go to any time without asking.
The rules matter as much as the space. It's always available. It's never used as a consequence. Nobody makes demands of them while they're in it. You'll agree those rules with the whole family, and introduce the space while your child is calm, so it's theirs before they need it.
Everything is built to be easy to use on a hard day. Start tonight with one page. Go deeper when you have time.

One sheet for the fridge: won't or can't, the seven steps, the sixty-second reset and your first week. Start tonight.

The full picture, in the same six areas as your assessment, with worksheets for your own child. Read it when you have time, in any order.

Eighteen pages for the hardest moments: fridge pages, the Load Log, signal cards to cut out, and your own plan.

The Won't or Can't Decision Card, the Co-Regulation Guide, the Regulation Space Setup Guide, and an explainer to share with grandparents, babysitters and school.

“Every environment either supports a child's brain or drains it. Most homes drain it, not because anyone got it wrong, but because nobody designed them for that child's brain at all.”

No. The programmes are about the environment around your child, so they're useful whether you have a diagnosis, are on a waiting list, or just know your child's brain works differently.
Online, in your own time. You sign in, take the programme's assessment, read your report and download the book. If you add the toolkit or the lessons, they appear in the same place. You can start the same evening, then work through the rest at your own pace.
No. It's for any child whose nervous system finds everyday life harder: autistic, ADHD, sensory differences, anxiety, or no label at all. The assessment looks at what your child finds hard, whatever the reason.
The ideas work at any age, from little ones to teenagers. Where things look different at different ages, the lessons and printables say so, and the assessment is about your child as they are now.
It's yours to keep. Everything you buy stays in your account, and everything you download is yours. Revisit it as your child grows.
No. It's practical education for parents, grounded in neuroscience. It doesn't replace your doctor or any of the professionals working with your child, and it works well alongside them.
